Recent research focuses on designing advanced drug delivery systems that target reactive oxygen species (ROS) for treating various diseases. This review categorizes commonly used chemical bonds into cleavable and noncleavable linkers, discussing their drug release mechanisms and providing synthesis approaches. The aim is to develop smart drug delivery systems that respond to ROS and improve treatment effectiveness.
